I recently saw this dance video shared in my FB and thought “hmmm how difficult would it be to make that?”
Well if you’re me with tons of video footage of oneself dancing it’s not that hard.
You figure we’re dancing on an 8 count. It’s actually really easy to sync things.
The song is Sing, Sing, Sing (With a Swing) by Louis Prima. Performed by the best goddamn big band ever: The Benny Goodman Orchestra.
This was the year that I pushed myself to take more dance. Like a lot of dance. At least 2-4 times a week. Thankfully I live in the Bay Area, home to some of the best teachers a girl could ask for.
The goal was to not suck so much. I offer you clips where I’m not looking so great. And some clips where I actually hit the mark.
Thank you to all the teachers I’ve taken in the Bay Area. I love your generosity and your creativity. You’re the reason I get off my ass and take the train to your class.
Also, thank you to all the dancers I’ve met in class. You inspire me so much.
Here’s the list of all the teachers in the video. Take their class. You won’t regret it.
