This past weekend reminded me why I love LA. Thanks to my boss I got to meet some ridiculously talented people in their ridiculously amazing home. But the part that really makes me ache for LA is the music. Two people brought up the fact Jon Brion plays weekly shows at Largo. And this is exactly the sort of thing that I would venture to…if I lived in this city…which I don’t…because it just aint home anymore.

Yeah, we have this sort of thing in the Bay Area but the vibe is just different. Too confrontational…or something…don’t know…its just not the same.

Thanks Jon for meeting me for foodies. It was lovely seeing you. It reminded me of that night we saw Portishead and waited for hours to get a good seat…and damn we got a good seat.
